Tom Conley, age 72, Rochester, Indiana, died on April 10, 2026 at Parkview Regional Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana at 6:55 p.m.
Tommy Lee Conley was born on August 29, 1953 in Rochester, Indiana to Oddis and Rebabell (Swango) Conley. He graduated from Rochester High School in 1971. He married Charlotte D. Reffitt on August 26,1972 in Rochester, Indiana. He lived all of his life in the Rochester area.
Tom was employed at Rochester Homes as a CAD operator and then at the Logansport State Hospital where he retired from in 2019. Tom loved music and in his earlier years he was the lead guitarist in the band "Music City Express". He also did computer programing and repair. He was very talented in woodworking and made several special gifts and wood items for other people.
Surviving Tom is his wife: Charlotte Conley of Rochester, IN; one daughter: Allison (spouse Eric) Love of Rochester, IN; and a second "like a daughter" Terria (spouse Matt) Gallagher of Elberfeld, IN; (2) brothers: Dennis (spouse Laura) Conley of Rochester, IN and James (spouse Kim) Conley of Culver, IN; (1) half-brother: Hartmut (spouse Angelika) Hasselbacher; brother-in-law David Rudd; (3) grandchildren: Andre, Eli and Libby and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding Tom in death are his parents and a sister, Linda Rudd (April 10, 2022), (2) half-brothers: Larry Ehlinger and Gearhardt Hasselbacher.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 15, 2026 at the Earl-Love Funeral Home, 811 E. Rochester Street, Akron, Indiana 46910.
The funeral service will follow visitation at 1:00 p.m. officiated by Pastor Jim Howard with burial at the Rochester IOOF Cemetery.
