Linda K. Madeford-Earwood

Linda Kay Madeford-Earwood, age 78 of Rochester, IN (formally of Akron, IN) died on April 30, 2022 at 6:56 a.m. at Woodlawn Hospital, Rochester, IN.

She was born on October 21, 1943 to Joseph and Eletha “Lee” (Young) Madeford in Denver, Colorado.

Linda was a 1961 graduate of Akron High School and attended Airline School in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She was married to James Earwood who died in 2013.  She grew up in Akron, Indiana and moved to Greenup, Kentucky and lived there for 50 years.

Her work career included being a receptionist for Dun & Bradstreet, operating the Akron Café for two years and worked most of her life at Applegates Grocery Store in Greenup, Kentucky where she retired in 2016.  She then moved back to the Akron area in 2016.

Surviving Linda is her companion: Kenton L. Kroft of Rochester, IN; (1) daughter: Sandra Hackworth of Greenup, KY; (1) son: Randall Bradford of Wurtland, KY; (3) grandchildren; (5) great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding Linda in death are her parents, husband James Earwood and brother Joey Madeford.

Graveside services and burial will be Monday; May 2, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at the Akron IOOF Cemetery officiated by Pastor Kathy Nelson.
