Larry W. Smith

Larry William Smith, Jr., age 38 of Silver Lake, Indiana died unexpectedly on May 29, 2019 at 3:45 a.m. at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

He was born on February 10, 1981 in Dayton, Ohio to Larry and Donna (Woodall) Smith.  Larry lived most of his life in the Silver Lake, Indiana area.  He attended Tippecanoe Valley High School and was employed at RR Donnelley in Warsaw, Indiana where he loved to paint and fabricate.  Larry enjoyed hunting, fishing and working on cars.

Surviving Larry is his mother:  Donna J. Smith of Silver Lake, IN; (4) daughters:  Shelby Smith of Claypool, IN; Abby Smith of Claypool, IN; Mia Smith of Warsaw, IN; Ali Smith of Warsaw, IN; (1) son: Nathaniel Smith of Claypool, IN; (1) sister: Angela Smith of Rochester, IN; and several nieces and nephews.  Also surviving Larry is his paternal grandmother: Ruby Smith of Ohio; maternal grandmother: Marlene Smith of Akron, IN.

Preceding Larry in death is his father: Larry Smith, Sr (2012); paternal grandfather: Lawrence Smith; maternal grandfather: William Woodall; step-grandfather: Thomas Smith (2018)

Visitation for Larry will be Monday, June 3, 2019, 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. with the funeral following visitation, officiated by Rev. Tom Bradford at the Earl-Love Funeral Home, 811 E. Rochester Street, Akron, Indiana.  Burial will be at the Mount Hope Athens Hoover Cemetery in Athens, Indiana.
