Larry Smith

Larry Smith, age 54 of Silver Lake, died at 7:44 a.m. at his residence.

He was born March 30, 1958 in Springfield, Ohio to Lawrence G. and Ruby (Cheeks) Smith.  On May 21, 1977 in Dayton, Ohio, Larry married Donna Jean Woodall.

While living in Dayton, he was a volunteer firefighter.  Larry worked in fabrication and was a welder.  He lived in the Silver Lake area for 25 years.

Survivors include his wife, Donna Smith; mother, Ruby Smith of Enon, Ohio; one daughter:  Angela Marie Smith of Rochester; one son:  Larry W. Smith Jr. (and spouse Andrea) of Silver Lake; three sisters:  Patricia (and spouse Orville) Thomas of Verona, KY, Carolyn (and spouse Gary) Campbell of Medway, Ohio, and Ruby Ellen Bruggeman of Piqua, Ohio; one brother-in-law: William S. (and spouse Kelley) Woodall of Mentone; one sister-in-law:  Kimberly (and spouse William) White of Statesville, NC; cousins:  James and Russell Smith and several more; mother-in-law:  Marlene Smith (and spouse Thomas) of Akron; and six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence G. Smith; father-in-law, William F. Woodall; and one son-in-law, Jerimy Biltz.

Funeral services are at 10:00 a.m. on Thurs., Oct. 11, 2012 at the Earl-Love Funeral Home, 811 E. Rochester St., Akron, with Rev. Tom Bradford and James Smith officiating.

Visitation is 6-8:00 p.m. on Wed., Oct. 10, 2012 at the funeral home.

Burial is at Hoover Mt. Hope Cemetery, Athens.
