Kay E Hershberger

Kay Hershberger, age 69 previously of Silver Lake, Indiana died on July 16, 2025 at 10:00 p.m. at Majestic Care Jefferson Pointe, Fort Wayne, Indiana where she resided for two years.

Kay Elaine (Kinder) Hershberger was born on November 25, 1955 to William and Lois (Slaybaugh) Kinder in Warsaw, Indiana.  She graduated from Warsaw High School in 1973.

She, at one time, worked for a moving company and was a babysitter at her home. Kay had previously attended First Presbyterian Church where she was a Sunday school teacher.  She enjoyed reading, cooking (especially desserts), candles, decorating and she loved her cat named Charlie.  Kay also liked to travel.

Surviving Kay is her daughter Rachel Hershberger and two grandchildren, Jasmine and Amiyah of Silver Lake, Indiana.

Preceding Kay in death are her parents and brother, Gary Kinder.

There will be a private graveside service for Kay at the Akron IOOF Cemetery with Pastor Butch Troke officiating.
