Julie Lynn Wirtz

Julie Wirtz, age 50, Peru, Indiana died on March 9, 2017 in the emergency room at the Community Howard Regional Hospital in Kokomo, Indiana at 9:30 p.m.

She was born on May 9, 1966 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Ted and Barbara (Scott) Wirtz. She lived most of her life in the Rochester and Fulton County area coming here from Connecticut.  She graduated from Rochester High School in 1985.  Throughout her life she worked at various manufacturing plants, which included Biomet, Explorer and Amerikan.  She also deliverd newspapers.  The most important things in her life were her family and grandchildren.  She also loved her pets.

Surviving Julie are two children: James T. Malott of Peru and Mindy L. (spouse Phillip) Bowers of North Manchester; (5) stepbrothers: Robert Smith Jr. of Rochester, Scott (spouse Leah) Smith of Newburgh, Brandon Smith of Rochester, Robert Babcock and David (spouse Amy) Babcock; (2) sisters: Wendy (spouse Ramon) Bayona of Connecticut and Tracey (spouse Paul) Schaeffner of Rochester; (2) stepsisters: Glendon (spouse Jeff) Wilson of Rochester and Holly Smith of Goshen; stepfather: Robert Smith Sr. of Rochester; stepmother: Jerry Wirtz; (2) grandchildren: Taylor and Emerson Bowers; several nieces and nephews.

Preceding Julie in death were her father and mother.

At this time, there will not be any visitation or services.  Graveside services will be held at a later date with burial in a Rochester cemetery.
