Beverly Sue Murphy

Beverly Sue Murphy, age 82 formally of Akron, Indiana died on November 9, 2022 at Millers Merry Manor in Warsaw, Indiana at 8:27 p.m.

She was born on September 30, 1940 in Warsaw, Indiana to Fred and Lavera (Stockberger) Horn.  Beverly graduated from Mentone High School in 1958. She lived in the town of Akron for 56 years from 1960-2016.  From 2017 to 2022, she lived at Millers Merry Manor in Warsaw, Indiana.

On April 22, 1960, she married Paul L. Murphy in Mentone, Indiana.  She worked as a bank teller for 30 years in Akron and retired from Wells Fargo Bank after 30 years of service.

Beverly was a member of the Silver Creek Church of God and the organization, Manitou Training Center of Rochester.  She enjoyed watching IU basketball on TV, camping, singing and loved the company of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Surviving Beverly are (3) sons: Jeff P. (Tami) Murphy of Warsaw, IN; Ryan L. (Becky) Murphy of Rochester, IN; Bryan D. (Tracy) Murphy of Akron, IN; (2) sisters: Shirley (Richard) Wine of Warsaw, IN; Leota Holloway of Talma, IN; (6) grandchildren and (7) great-grandchildren.

Preceding Beverly in death are her parents, husband Paul L. Murphy (1988), son Troy E. Murphy (2021), several brothers and sisters.

Visitation will be Sunday, November 13, 2022 from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Earl-Love Funeral Home, 811 E. Rochester Street, Akron, Indiana 46910.

Funeral Service will be on Monday, November 14, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at the Silver Creek Church of God, County Line Road (West County Road 1300 S.) Silver Lake, Indiana  46982.  Officiating the service will be Rev. Randy Samuels with burial in the Silver Creek Cemetery.

Preferred memorials may be given to the Troy Murphy Memorial Fund, c/o Kosciusko County Community Foundation, 102 E. Market St., Warsaw, IN  46580.
