Betty Lou Carr, age 81, formerly of Akron, died at 6:13 p.m. Thursday, March 15, 2012.
She was born June 14, 1930, in Logansport to John A. and Mary K. (Albright) Randolph. On Feb. 27, 1954, in Logansport, she married Ralph A. Carr, who died in 1989.
Betty lived in Logansport since 1990, coming from the Akron community. While living in Logansport, she attended Grace Lutheran Church and attended Granger Community Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Catherine (spouse John) Davenport of South Bend; two sons: Stephen Carr of Andover, Mass., and Randall (spouse Lori) Carr of Rochester; a daughter-in-law, DeLure Carr of Noblesville; a sister-in-law, Maureen Randolph of Kokomo; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, James Lee Carr in 2009; four brothers: Robert, Richard, Raymond and Francis Randolph; a sister, Maxine Singleton; and a great-grandson.
Services will be at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at Olive Bethel Church of God, with Rev. Larry Pyeatt officiating. Burial will be in the Rochester IOOF Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at Earl-Love Funeral Home, 811 E. Rochester St., Akron.
