Rodney C. Lewis, age 46, Rochester, died on March 28, 2016 at Indiana University Health Hospital, Indianapolis, at 7:05 p.m. He had been failing in health for some time.

He was born on March 9, 1970 in West Lafayette, Indiana to Fern T. and Bonnie Jean (Brohart) Lewis.  Rodney has lived in Rochester all of his life.

Rodney married Shannon Lynn Carpenter on August 6, 1988.  He worked at the Rochester Foundry and previously at Plymouth and North Manchester foundries.  Rodney enjoyed fishing, golfing and NASCAR Racing and was fond of car #2.

Surviving Rodney is his wife: Shannon; (2) children at home: Ryan and Sarah Lewis of Rochester; (1) sister: Dixie Lewis of Rochester; (4) brothers: Ronald (spouse Robin) Lewis of Rochester; Randy Lewis of Rochester; Raymond Lewis of Rochester; Robin Keith (spouse Stacy) Lewis of Anderson.

Preceding Rodney in death are his parents and one brother, Rick Lewis.

As per the family’s wishes, cremation will take place and a memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
