Michael Booth Obituary

Michael LeRoy Booth, age 52, rural Akron, Indiana, died on Sunday, March 24, 2019 at Parkview Regional Hospital in Fort Wayne at 8:00 p.m.

He was born on March 17, 1967 in Cheyenne, Wyoming to Loren LeRoy and Betty Elizabeth Louise (Gary) Booth-McDermott.  He graduated from Kelly Walsh High School in Casper, Wyoming in 1985 and enlisted in the United States Army on November 29, 1985 and served eight years.

Michael was CEO and Founder of Litigation Technology Solutions and fought alongside trial lawyers to assist them in court arguments and presentations.  He was a former military police officer of the U.S. Army, working his way up the ranks to later become team Sergeant of the patrol and detector dog handlers (military police patrol dogs and bomb squad dogs).  He was a former police officer at Huachuca city police as well as multiple other police departments.  For a short period of time he worked as a wildlife game warden in Georgia.  Later in life after receiving his master’s degree, he was a college professor at ITT in Indianapolis, Indiana.  Michael received his master’s degree from IUPUI and also studied at Minnesota State University Moorhead.

Michael married Kayla Harrison on December 1, 2017 in Peru, Indiana.  He and his wife lived in the Akron area for seven years.  He loved dogs and was active in helping lawyers win court cases.  He didn’t exactly like cats but cats adored him.  The neighbor’s cat would come over to be let inside the house and would then proceed to fight with his service dog over the coveted position of being closest to Mike’s face.

He will always be remembered as the guy that could make anyone laugh; he was incredibly funny.  Michael was extremely loyal to those he loved most and deeply loved by many.  He will be greatly missed.

Surviving Michael is his wife: Kayla of Akron, Indiana; his mother: Betty Booth-McDermott of Great Falls, Montana; (3) daughters:  Christina Hagan of Statesboro, Georgia; Cynthia Campbell and Amber Davidson of Columbia, South Carolina; (1) son: Michael Booth, Jr. (1) brother: Charlie Booth of Atlanta, Georgia; (1) sister: Tammy Widseth of Great Falls, Montana; several grandchildren; his father-in-law and mother-in-law: Wil and Sharon Harrison of Akron, Indiana.

Preceding Michael in death is his father.

As per Michael’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will not be any services at this time.
