Carolyn, I am so sorry about your loss. I have many fond memories of Terry and you when you were at Grace UMC in Rochester. My husband, Allen passed away in October of 2015. I sincerely share your deep loss. Allen and I were married 51 years. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

To family of Mr. Shumaker:

I wanted to express my sympathy. Terry was my 5/6th Grade Social Studies teacher at Caston 1974-1975. I have many fond memories of him as my teacher, but especially remember his kind, gentle nature and his lessons taught as to how we students should be kind to one another. I went on to graduate from Caston, pursue my teaching and master's degree, and returned to Caston in 1991 as an Assistant Principal, later the Elementary Principal and I am now the Superintendent. It was teacher's such as Mr. Shumaker that inspired me to pursue a life-long career in education.
